Rather than relying on graphics to save your tail, work hard to make sure you have sufficient stock, photography or b-roll footage you don't need to spend a huge chunk of your budget filling holes in the video with time-consuming graphics. In case you have control of the process, shame on you in case you do not write it so you can be rewarding in the process.
Storyboarding doesn't have to be as complex as the ones you see Hollywood directors use. That is all that matters, if you can know your drawings.
